New Delhi,30-06-2024: IGKV RKVY RAFTAAR Agribusiness Incubator (IGKV R-ABI) has been awarded the prestigious “Accelerator of the Year” at Startup Mahakumbh 2024. Established in March 2019 under the guidance of the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, IGKV R-ABI aims to strengthen infrastructure and nurture an incubation ecosystem to promote agripreneurship and agribusiness.
IGKV R-ABI, located in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, stands as the first and only agribusiness incubator in the state. Since its inception, it has played a pivotal role in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in agriculture and allied sectors across Central India. The incubator provides state-of-the-art infrastructure, mentorship, and robust business and technology support to aspiring agripreneurs and agribusinesses.
Since its establishment, IGKV R-ABI has incubated 189 early-stage startups, out of which 76 have received government grant-in-aid totaling 7.79 Cr under the RKVY RAFTAAR Scheme. These startups have collectively developed over 700 innovative products, securing more than 40 IPs for their innovations. They have served over 30,000 customers and generated a cumulative revenue exceeding 3200 lakhs. Moreover, these startups have positively impacted the lives of over 30,000 farmers and created direct employment opportunities for 750+ individuals.
The achievements of IGKV R-ABI and its startups have been recognized with over 38 awards at various state and national platforms, highlighting their significant contributions to the agriculture sector’s growth and innovation.
